Recommend approval to award an annual contract for lot clearing and debris removal to Family Lawn Care, LLC in the amount of $57,500.00. The Code Compliance Department will use these services to clear yard and trash debris and cut grass on lots on the east side of Savannah. The areas include the east side of Bull Street extending to White Bluff Road and onto Coffee Bluff Road and everything east to the City limits, north and south to the City limits of the City of Savannah. This event was open only to Savannah Business Enterprises (SBEs).

This is the first of two awards made under the new Savannah Business Enterprises (SBE) program adopted by City Council. The program places eligible bidding opportunities under $100,000 into a sheltered market that only certified SBEs (small Savannah-based businesses) can bid. By making smaller contracts available to SBEs, the program provides valuable prime contracting experience for local firms and spurs economic growth by keeping procurement dollars in Savannah.

The contract term is from July 19, 2018 through December 31, 2018.
