Title
26. Motion to Renew Annual Contract for Litter and Recycling Receptacles with SiteScapes, Inc. (Event No. 4884)
Strategic Priority
Neighborhood Revitalization
Description

Recommend approval to renew an annual contract for litter and recycling receptacles with SiteScapes, Inc. in the estimated amount of $35,695.00.  The Sanitation Department’s Recycling and Litter Services Division will install and use these black, 40-gallon steel receptacles to collect recyclables on public streets in the downtown area. Receptacles will be purchased on an as-needed basis.

Recycling and Litter Services ensures all curbside recycling carts are emptied as scheduled, and all recycling drop-off sites are conveniently located, accessible, and meet the recycling needs of the community.  This action aligns with Council's strategic priority 3.1.3 (Enhance and Improve Neighborhood Livability and Sustainablity).

While notifications were originally sent to all known suppliers, only one bid was received.

Bids were originally received on March 28, 2017. Council originally approved this contract on May 25, 2017 in the amount of $35,695.00.  This is the first of three contract renewal options.

The contract term shall be from January 3, 2019 through December 31, 2019.
