Recommend approval to renew an annual subscription agreement for SmartForce software with Adventos Corporation in the amount of $49,000. The Savannah Police Department uses the SmartForce software to receive, share and respond to a variety of forms of communication covering all aspects of the Savannah Police Department’s daily operations.  The software provides up-to-date information, announcements, intelligence, briefings and other types of communication traditionally routed through email or through other less efficient processes.

SmartForce was previously purchased by the City and approved by Council on March 28, 2019. This is a sole source procurement because the software is currently installed and is crucial to the police department’s infrastructure.  SmartForce is proprietary and can only be renewed through Adventos Corporation.
