| Description The City's Greenscapes Department along with the Park and Tree Commission are requesting that a Proclamation be issued for 2022 Arbor Day. The City of Savannah has been named a Tree City USA for over 30 years. The requirements of this designation are set by The Arbor Day Foundation and the National Association of State Foresters. One requirement is that we have an Arbor Day Proclamation, which is celebrated on the third Friday of February each year in Georgia. As such, the City of Savannah's Park and Tree Commission, along with the City's Greenscapes Urban Forestry Division, will hold the annual Arbor Day Celebration and Tree Planting Ceremony on Friday February 18, 2022, at the Windsor Forest Elementary School located at 414 Briarcliff Circle, Savannah, Georgia. | |
