25. Authorize the City Manager to Execute an Agreement for a Litter Removal Program with Union Mission, Inc for an Amount up to $140,400 (Per Occupied Room Fund). The agreement will assist in meeting the City's goals of Re-establishing and Preserving Neighborhoods and Soft Skills and Workforce Training for Unemployed and Underemployed. Program is used to clean litter in specific downtown areas.

Description

This is to authorize the City Manager to renew an agreement with Union Mission, Inc. for the Clean Team Litter Removal Program for an amount up to $140,400.

The Greenscapes Department has been working with Union Mission, Inc. since 2019 with positive results. Renewal of the contract will help meet the City’s Strategic Plan goals of 3.1 (Re-establish and Preserve Neighborhoods) and 4.4 (Soft Skills and Workforce Training for the Unemployed and Underemployed). This program was created to benefit work-ready homeless individuals and persons living with disabilities experiencing challenges to obtaining employment.
