Recommend approval to renew an annual contract for internet services to Hargray in the amount of $30,780.00. The contract with Hargray Communications Group provides primary internet services to support SCADA communications and secondary internet service for general City network access. This service also supports the communication protocol for use of mobile data terminals in the field by Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police staff. Pricing is based on the City’s projected needs for the upcoming year.

The method of procurement used was the request for proposal (RFP), which evaluates criteria in addition to cost. The criteria evaluated for this RFP were qualifications and experience, technical capabilities, references, and fees.

Proposals were received July 9, 2013. The original contract was approved by Council on August 8, 2013. This is the fourth of four renewal options available. The contract term will be from December 21, 2017 through December 20, 2018.
