Recommend approval to procure critical incident training services from BowMac & RSI, Inc. in the amount of $30,000.00.

The training services will be used by the Savannah Police Department to prepare officers for critical incidents using best practices and practical training. This systematic, NIMS-based approach offers Savannah Police Department training possibilities for all its ranks as well as cross training opportunities with public safety responders in the designated region.  This training will help safeguard visitors and residents by having a well-trained and prepared police force. 

BowMac Educational Services & RSI, Inc. will provide a total of 13 days of training and instruction to develop potential instructors for the Critical Incident Management “Simulation-Based Training for Initial Response Personnel” course. This training and instruction will consist of one three-day session and two five-day sessions, with each day consisting of eight hour instruction blocks.  This is a sole source because BowMac & RSI, Inc. is the developer and only known supplier of this highly specialized training program.

Approval
