Recommend approval to procure camera equipment for police transport vans from COBAN Technologies, Inc. in the amount of $46,515.00 from the Condemned Assets Fund.  The Department of Information Technology (DoIT) requires this equipment to equip transport vans used by the Savannah Police Department. 

The COBAN Edge^TM Transport Van Digital In-Car Video System solution includes both hardware and software that offers applications with advanced artificial intelligence-based video analytics. This will offer increased security while in the vehicles.  This is a sole source because this is the only supplier of this type of digital evidence management system.  Additionally, this system will be used along with the existing COBAN system equipment to ensure compatibility.
