State law provides provides local governments an exemption from the public bid/auction disposition process if a property is sold or transferred to another government entity for public purposes. Accordingly, staff is seeking to transfer a vacant parcel of residential-zoned real property located at 1710 Augusta Avenue (PIN 20027 03013) to the Savannah Chatham County Land Bank Authority (LBA). The intent would be for the LBA to work with non-profit partners and private entities to develop housing on this property and place it on the tax roll. Also requested is authorization for the City Manager to execute associated deed and closing documents.
