Title
22. Approval to Procure Two Jetpower Ground Power Units from John Bean Technologies, in the amount of $81,043
Strategic Priority
Good Government
Description

The current ground power units have reached the end of their lifecycle, after more than ten years of causing mainline airlines to utilize the onboard aircraft Auxiliary Power Unit (APU).  This can be costly for airlines to operate the APU for an extended period of time.  The new Jetpower Ground Power Units will provide 400 Hz and 28 VDC power for aircraft and are proprietary to John Bean Technologies (JBT), the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the passenger boarding bridges. This is a Sole Source Purchase.
