Notification of the emergency procurement of the installation of a perimeter fence from Guaranteed Fence in the amount of $47,750. The Savannah Police Department is using the perimeter fence to secure the firearms range training and tactics facility.

Although there are warning signs posted around the 20-acre site, citizens were still entering the firearms range during live training exercises putting themselves in danger.  This was an emergency procurement because the fence is necessary to protect the public as well as serve as a deterrent from theft and vandalism.
