30. Authorize the City Manager to Approve an Easement in Connection with the Renovation Project to the Tomochichi Federal Courthouse at 125 Bull Street

Description

Petitioner Tammy Sadler, on behalf of the United States General Services Administration (GSA) has requested an easement for the purposes of constructing and installing security/safety barriers around the Tomochichi Federal Courthouse located at 125 Bull Street. The barriers will include bollards, bollard lights, security poles, security access controls, flag poles, landscaping, temporary irrigation, drainage inlets/piping, stairs/landing appurtenances to the building, and a remote keypad/access control bollard on the easement area. These improvements will extend out onto City right-of-way and will mostly be surficial. The GSA will not be paying for the easement, but has agreed to bear all of the cost of maintaining these improvements over time.
 

This easement was reviewed by Public Works and Water Resources, Development Services, Office of the City Attorney, Planning and Urban Design, and Real Estate Services. Staff recommend approval and authorization for the City Manager to execute the easement document.
