Recommend approval to procure route optimization and management software from Rubicon Global, LLC in an amount of $655,152.50 paid over the length of the agreement as follows; year one in the amount of $246,192.50, year two and three in the amount of $204,480. Sanitation Department will use route optimization and management software to capture and efficiently manage solid waste and recycling related data. The service is expected to streamline operations by providing real time GPS tracking and data uploads, improve customer service with exception flagging and photo capturing, and increasing operational efficiency by way of fleet and router optimization and management. 

This procurement was made through a cooperative purchasing agreement with HGAC Buy Cooperative contract number FL03-21. Cooperative purchasing is authorized as an appropriate procurement method in Division 10 Section 4-4152 of the City of Savannah’s purchasing ordinance.

The contract was competitively bid and awarded by HGAC Buy Cooperative and awarded to Rubicon Global, LLC.
