| Description Georgia Power Corporation (GPC) has an electric transmission powerline that traverses along Dean Forest Road and cuts across a portion of City-owned property at 1325 Dean Forest Road. The property is the future site of a landfill cell and is currently being used by the SPD Mounted Police Unit. GPC is requesting an additional 50-feet of easement, encompassing 0.221 acre, in order to trim trees and brush away from the powerlines as a safety measure. The City has negotiated a price of $5,000, which is slightly more than appraised value. The proposed easement has been reviewed and approved by the Real Estate, Sanitation and Legal Departments.
