14. Motion to Rezone 0 and 2021 E Gwinnett Street from P-R-B-1/P-B-C to the Savannah Gardens PUD

The petitioner, Harold Yellin as Agent for CHSA Development Inc., proposes to rezone three parcels to the Savannah Gardens Planned Unit Development (PUD). The properties, approximately 2.74 acres, are located at 0 and 2021 East Gwinnett Street (2-0039-02-002, 2-0039-02-003, and 2-0058-04-018).

Rezoning the three parcels as part of the Savannah Gardens PUD would ensure that any future development would remain consistent to the purpose and standards as adopted by the Mayor and Aldermen in 2009. Incorporating these properties would also ensure that the CHSA has the authority to determine what land uses may locate in these areas, as well as enforce design and development guidelines that are compatible and consistent to the rest of the Savannah Gardens PUD. The proposed rezoning is also consistent with the Comprehensive Plan and Future Land Use Map.

This request is related to another agenda item, which is the adoption of the Savannah Gardens PUD as Article R in the Zoning Ordinance with revisions and amending the Master Plan.

On March 13, 2018, the Planning Commission voted to recommend approval of rezoning the three parcels to the Savannah Gardens PUD.
