| Description Recommend approval to procure replacement cloth filters for the Crossroads Treatment Facility from Aqua Aerobics in the amount of $32,336. The Water Reclamation Department uses cloth filters to reduce the amount of total solids in effluent. The filters are critical to ensuring compliance with the requirements of the City's discharge permit, as it pertains to suspended solids. The current filters have exceeded their life span and are in need of replacement. Failure to replace the existing filters will result in an increased amount of suspended solid concentration in the effluent which will result in permit violations. The unit price for each cloth filter is $289. Additional parts required for installation are included in the total price. The filters last approximately five to seven years. This is a solesource procurement because cloth filters are specifically designed to maximize solid removal of effluent at the Crossroads Treatment Facility and can only be purchased from Aqua Aerobics.
