Description The City entered into an agreement with the Coastal Heritage Society (CHS) to operate the MLK Visitors Center, Railroad Museum, Children’s Museum and other facilities at Tricentennial Park, which is a City-owned complex at 655 Louisville Road (Louisville Road and MLK Boulevard). The City also entered into an agreement with CHS to expend funds for the renovation of facilities at Tricentennial Park for the purpose of development of a Children’s Museum. This recommended amendment authorizes the expenditure of $1.4 million funds for the purpose of replacing the roof and interior buildout of the Storehouse Building for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) related programming for children. The attached amendment has been prepared and approved by the City Attorney’s Office, Real Estate Services, and the Office of Capital Projects. | |
