Description

Notification of an emergency purchase of radio batteries from Motorola Solutions in the amount of $27,010.50. The batteries are used in the City's portable radios, which are carried by public safety and public works staff.

This was an emergency purchase as Hurricane Irma was approaching, and these batteries were needed to ensure that City operations and staff communication would be supported during the event. The batteries were purchased through the State of Georgia contract and were able to be delivered before the hurricane was expected to arrive. Motorola Solutions is also the sole source provider for these batteries, which are compatible with equipment already in use throughout the City.
