Title Motion to Approve Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Awards and Execute Agreements | ||||||||||||||||
Description Recommend approval of ESG grant awards to Chatham Savannah Authority for the Homeless, Family Promise of Greater Savannah, Salvation Army, Inner City Night Shelter, and George Leile Visions, and authorization for the City Manager to enter into grant agreements totaling $394,860.00 for the delivery of homeless and homeless prevention services. On August 3, 2017, City Council approved a resolution to accept a supplemental allocation of $639,157.00 to the 2017 Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) award made available by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development through a formula allocation to assist communities that lost significant capacity to serve the homeless in recent years. These funds are in addition to the City's regular ESG entitlement allocation. Funds were made available through a request for proposals (RFP) to agencies providing emergency sheltering, street outreach, homeless management information systems services (HMIS), and homeless prevention programs. The following agencies and award amounts are recommended for City Council approval:
