State law enables local government restrictions on the storage and transport of used tires.  Proposed Section 9-3020 prohibits private individuals from housing more than 10 used tires on any property and similarly prohibits transport of more than 10 scrap tires at any one time. Additionally, 9-3020 vests the police department with authority to arrange for disposal of contraband tires, consistent with state law, in a manner where the City will not bear the costs of disposal.
 

Approval
