Title Motion to Rezone a Property Located on Normandy Street from I-L to B-C (Petitioner David Hornsby for HD Companies) | |
Description The Mayor and Aldermen approved this rezoning request following a zoning hearing at the August 31, 2017 City Council Meeting. The action being considered now is the approval of the ordinance to rezone property located on Normandy Street from I-L to B-C. David Hornsby, as agent for D.J. Desai, doing business as HD Companies, Petitioner (File No. 17-004210-ZA), is requesting approval of a zoning map amendment to rezone property on Normandy Road, east of Hitch Village, from IL (Light Industrial) to BC (Community Business). The property is currently vacant and is proposed to be an additional section of the “Bremer Tract” hotel development, the map amendment for which was approved by the Mayor and Aldermen on June 8, 2017. The subject property consists of a single parcel comprising a total of 2 acres. The subject property is designated “Downtown Expansion” on the future land use map of the Tricentennial Comprehensive Plan. | |
