The petition for 6078 Ogeechee Road (PIN 11029 05004), owned by F & A of Savannah, LLC, is to zone approximately 5.019 acres from BN (Neighborhood Business) to BN-CO (Neighborhood Business-County). The B-N zoning district provides convenient shopping facilities consisting of convenience goods and personal services in neighborhood market areas of 3,000 to 5,000 people.

The zoning request will support the annexation of the subject property from unincorporated Chatham County into the City limits for the purpose of supporting the Tractor Supply Company which opened in July 2021 and is permitted under the BN zoning classification.

On August 3, 2020, a subdivision plat was approved creating two parcels—6078 Ogeechee (PIN 11029 05004) and 6098 Ogeechee (11029 05014). This zoning request is for 6078 Ogeechee (PIN 11029 05004). Within the next month, an annexation and zoning request will be considered for 6098 Ogeechee (11029 05014).

Public notification for the zoning request included sending letters to the 11 property owners within 300 feet of the subject property. Public notices were also placed in the Savannah Morning News on August 24, 2021 and signs posted on the parcel advertising the zoning hearing.
