The Commission advertised a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for 30 days for the purchase of GMC Sierra Skirted Chassis Flatbed Truck. The Commission did not receive any bids. Due to no bids received, purchasing shopped through pre-negotiated cooperative purchasing agreements to locate the vehicle. Savannah Airport Commission paid a reservation fee of $2,500 for the company to hold the vehicle. In addition, this purchase includes a trade-in value of $15,000 of one of SAC’s vehicles, which is factored into the overall price. The primary function of this truck will be for the movement of heavy equipment and/or supplies by using a gooseneck trailer to and from specific work sites on airport property.
