Description

On April 14, 2022, the City Council approved awarding a WIOA Adult/Dislocated Worker Case Management sub-award in the amount of $231,018. Eckerd Connects-Paxen will deliver year-round Case Management, Career, Training, and Support services to adults who are unemployed or underemployed, and to adult dislocated workers who have lost their jobs due to downsizing or through no fault of their own in Camden, Glynn, and McIntosh counties.

 

The Coastal Workforce Development Board (CWDB) is recommending approval to modify the sub-award by increasing the amount by $16,750 to fully fund personnel, administrative, and programmatic activities. Below is the sub-award modification amount including counties to be served:

Pursuant to the WorkSource Coastal Consortium Agreement, the City of Savannah serves as the fiduciary agent for the 10-county region, and as such, City Council approval and authorization for the City Manager to receive grant funding and enter into grant administration agreements is necessary in accordance with the City of Savannah's procurement policies and procedures.
