Title 27. Motion to Procure Variable Frequency Drives from Siemens Industry (Event No. 6525)
Strategic Priority Infrastructure
Description Recommend approval to procure retrofitting services for variable frequency drives from Siemens Industry in the amount $106,719.00. The Abercorn Creek Raw Water Station uses four variable frequency drive pumps to provide raw water to the Industrial and Domestic Water Treatment Plant. The current variable frequency drives are obsolete. In order to ensure safe and reliable water to the City of Savannah, one of the outdated drives must be retrofitted with a new drive. This is a sole source because Siemens is the only company that is authorized to retrofit its proprietary property.
