29. Motion to Award Contract Modification No. 1 for Commercial Irrigation to Turf Services Unlimited, Inc. (Event No. 2273)
Strategic Priority

Recommend approval of contract modification No. 1 for commercial irrigation with Turf Services Unlimited, Inc. in the amount of $30,000.00.

These services are used by the Greenscapes Division for installations and repairs of commercial and industrial underground sprinkler irrigation systems within City parks and on the City’s rights of way. 

The existing contract amount of $36,000.00 has been expended. Therefore, the Greenscapes Division is using in-house personnel to service and install irrigation work in many median and park improvement projects. This is impacting the in-house employees’ ability to maintain the existing systems.

The original contract was approved by Council on March 21, 2013, in the amount of $36,000.00.  The total amount of this contract to date, including this modification, is $66,000.00.
