Description
Recommend approval of a Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute contracts with homeless service agencies for the provision of services which prevent, prepare for and respond to the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19).
The City of Savannah received supplemental allocations of $2,796,877 in Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG-CV) funds as authorized by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES). These special ESG-CV funds can to be used to prevent, prepare for, and respond to COVID-19 among homeless individuals and families who are receiving assistance; and to support additional homeless assistance and homelessness prevention activities to mitigate the impacts of COVID-19.
