The Savannah Airport Commission recommends approval to ratify the acceptance of the Airport Improvement Program Grant Offer No: 3-13-0100-061 from the Federal Aviation Administration in the amount of $7,642,751.00.

Grant offer No: 3-13-0100-061 is for the Terminal Apron Expansion Project. These funds have been allocated for this project from supplemental discretionary appropriations approved by the Federal Aviation Administration for non-primary airports or primary airports classified as small hubs that have projects classified as “shovel ready”. The FAA received 487 grant applications for this round of funding, and only 37 were selected. The Terminal Apron Expansion project is ready to move forward and should begin next month.
