Title 8. Authorize the City Manager to Procure Lift Station Monitoring Equipment from Emerson Power and Water in the Amount of $99,293.90 (Event No. 8131)
Strategic Priority Infrastructure
Description Recommend approval to procure Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) equipment from Emerson Power and Water in the amount of $99,293.90. The equipment will be used by Infrastructure & Development to upgrade six sanitary lift stations with new Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) panels. The RTU Panels are used to monitor and control the onsite Wetwell Levels, Pump Status, Power, Rain Gauges and Flow Rates at the stations and connect the stations back to the City’s existing SCADA system. The elements and the corrosive nature of the process can cause failure of the devices and when that happens the RTU panels are no longer able to monitor or report information on the station to operations which can lead to spills. This is a sole source because these parts will be used with existing equipment that is available only from this supplier.
