Title 16. Approval to Execute a Contract with Daifuku / Logan Teleflex for Baggage Handling System Improvements (CBIS Recapitalization Project) in the Amount of $209,492
Strategic Priority Good Government
Description The CBIS Recapitalization Project will include upgrading the existing mini-inline screening system currently in operation at SAV. It will provide an EDS screening solution for bags up to 63-inches in length than the current model EDS configuration can process (48-inches). Daifuku / Logan Teleflex will provide a turnkey solution to allow for the modification and addition of tunnel extensions to the SS2 and SS3 EDS machines so that longer bags can be processed. Daifuku / Logan Teleflex was the prime contractor on both Phase I and Phase II of the Automated Outbound Baggage Handling System project. The company has the project as-builts readily available. Staff recommends sole-sourcing this portion of the project.
