Title Motion to Adopt Resolution Recognizing the Work of Community Help, Inc. in Funding Home Repairs for Low-Income Homeowners | |
Description Recommend the Mayor and Aldermen adopt a resolution recognizing the work of Community Help, Inc., in raising funds for repairs to the homes of low-income elderly residents, in partnership with the City of Savannah Housing Department. Community Help, Inc. has raised $119,812.00 to help 64 low-income Savannah households repair their homes since 2012. This includes using $21,555.00 to help 14 families thus far in 2017. Community Help, Inc., was formed as part of a call to action by St. Phillip Monumental AME Church and partners with organizations to provide other services for the needy. | |
