Motion to Award Annual Contract for Passenger Tires to SOS Radial Tire (Event No.5292)
Description

Recommend approval to award an annual contract for passenger tires from SOS Radial Tire in the amount of $140,093.15.  This contract will be utilized by the Vehicle Maintenance Department to procure passenger tires for City vehicles assigned to various departments city-wide in need of replacement due to normal wear and tear.  Normally, passenger tires are utilized on light- and medium-duty vehicles, such as small- and mid-size sedans, police pursuit vehicles, trucks, and SUVs.

Upon approval, this contract will be in effect through December 31, 2018. This annual contract may be renewed for up to three additional 12-month periods, if all contracting parties so agree and services provided by the vendor have been satisfactory. The renewal options, if exercised, will begin on January 1 and end on December 31 of each subsequent year.
