| Description This change order will be for the removal and replacement of unsuitable material encountered during the earthwork stage of the project. This material will be removed and replaced with suitable offsite borrow. During the design, based upon the geotechnical report, the engineer put a bid item in the contract to account for 33 percent of the site to be unsuitable and needing offsite borrow to be imported. Approximately 55 percent of the total site has been excavated and 85 percent of the planned quantity for unsuitable and borrow has been placed. This change order also includes additional concrete pavement for the uncovered sidewalks. | |
