7. A Proclamation Recognizing the Extraordinary Effort Put Forth by City Staff to Provide Technical Support for the Continuation of City Council Meetings via ZOOM for the Past Twenty Months

Description


WHEREAS, beginning in March, 2020, Savannah City Council ceased meeting in person due to the worldwide COVID-19 Pandemic. 
 
WHEREAS, City Staff acted swiftly to deploy the ZOOM technology and move the format of the meetings online thus ensuring that no disruption to City Council meetings occured.

WHEREAS, for 20 months City Staff have managed the broadcast and coordinated participation of Citizens in the regular council meetings via ZOOM

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Van R. Johnson, II, Mayor, City of Savannah, GA, do hereby recognize City Staff for their dedication to ensuring the continuity of Government in the City of Savannah. I further recognize the following individuals for their time and effort in support of the City Council.
