Description

Recommend approval to authorize the City Manager to renew an annual contract with SABE, Inc. for Landfill Cover Material in the amount of $1,632,000. This contract will be used by the Sanitation Department to provide cover material for usage primarily at Dean Forest Road Municipal Solid Waste Landfill. Cover material is applied over the waste received at the landfill on a daily basis in accordance with Georgia Environmental Protection Division rules.

Bids were originally received on August 14, 2018. This contract was originally approved by Council on September 27, 2018 in the amount of $1,632,000. This is the first of three renewal options available.

The contract term shall be from January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020.
