| Description Recommend approval to authorize the City Manager to execute the renewal of an annual contract with Senior Citizens, Inc. for senior meals in the amount of $450,470. The contract will be used to provide lunch meals to senior citizens in the City of Savannah's Adult Day Care program, the 12 Golden Age Centers, and Senior Citizens at the Pennsylvania Avenue Resource Center (PARC). The cost per meal is $4.28, which equates to just over 105,000 meals for our senior citizens. 70% of the meal costs for this program will be reimbursed by the State and Federal Governments under Title III of the Older Americans Act. This contract was originally awarded by Council on July 7, 2016 in the amount of $426,930. The increase in contracted amount is due to additional meals provided at PARC. This is the third of four renewal options available. The contract term shall be November 18, 2019 through December 31, 2020. | |
