This contract is for Savannah Fire Department medical fitness examination, testing, and evaluations with St. Joseph/Candler Hospital (Savannah, GA) in an amount not to exceed $175,889. This contract addresses fitness and provides physical examinations as appropriate and according to the fire service wellness and fitness program, the NFPA 1582 standard on medical requirements for firefighters, and OSHA regulation 29CFR1910.120 paragraph F hazardous material team medical surveillance.

The method used for this procurement was the request for proposals (RFP), which evaluates criteria in addition to the cost. The proposals were evaluated on the basis of the proposer’s qualifications and experience, including support capabilities, technical capabilities, fees, references, DBE, and Savannah First. Four proposals were received and of the four firms, two were shortlisted. The proposal was advertised, opened, and reviewed. Delivery: As requested. Terms: Net 30 days.
