| Description Approval is requested for the re-recording of the previously approved Major Subdivision Plat identified as File No. 23-005044-SUBP, recorded on December 19, 2023, in Plat Book 54, Page 162, to be replaced by File No. 26-001047-SUBP. The original Major Subdivision Plat was approved and recorded in order to accommodate project timing and facilitate the issuance of building permits for the initial Tier One suppliers supporting the Hyundai Motor Group manufacturing facility project. At the time of the original plat approval and recording, the subdivision rights-of-way were temporarily established as private due to timing constraints associated with the project schedule. It was always the intent that the applicable rights-of-way would ultimately be dedicated to the public. The roadway and associated infrastructure were designed and constructed in accordance with City of Savannah standards and requirements for public roads. The revised plat is being presented to Mayor and Aldermen solely for the purpose of dedicating portions of the subdivision rights-of-way to the City of Savannah. Specifically, Four Lakes Parkway and Monahan Drive are proposed to be dedicated to the public. Propel Drive will remain a private right-of-way. No other substantive changes are proposed with the re-recording of the plat. The dedication of the public rights-of-way will allow the City to obtain the necessary access and authority for the operation, maintenance, and repair of public utilities located within the rights-of-way.
