Description This is for Contract Modification No. 1 for the repair of fire pumper unit #4518 with Williams Fire Apparatus(D) in the amount of $9,975.12. The original contract was to repair fire pumper unit #4518 belonging to the City of Savannah Fire Department which incurred extensive damage from an accident. The damage to this unit will cause the fire pumper to be out of service until it is repaired. The repairs to the unit will include repairs to the front bumper, front cab, side skirts, sidewalls, lighting systems, hydraulics, and wiring. Once the vendor started repairs on this unit, it was discovered that the damage was more severe than initially suspected. This required additional parts and labor. The vendor also performed a preventative maintenance service and changed all the fluids to make sure the unit is safe and operational. This contract was originally approved by Council on September 23, 2021, in the amount of $41,662.85 The total amount of this contract to date, including this modification, is $51,637.97.
