Title Motion to Award Annual Contract for Recycling Receptacles to SiteScapes, Inc. (Event No. 4884) | |
Description Recommend approval to award an annual contract for recycling receptacles to SiteScapes, Inc. in the amount of $35,695.00. These receptacles will be installed on Broughton Street as part of the Recycling and Litter Abatement Department’s on-going program to provide public recycling receptacles downtown and throughout the Historic District. Receptacles are currently in place on River and Bay streets. Recycling receptacles are used to receive recyclable items from pedestrians on the City’s downtown public streets. The 40-gallon-capacity receptacles are designed to be placed next to the current green City litter receptacles. Both are uniform in size and design. The recycling receptacles will be painted black with a yellow lid and will be marked to receive single-stream recycling only. The lid will also display the type of recyclables accepted. Use of the public recycling receptacles reduces the amount of trash sent to the landfill.
