30. Motion to Approve Acquisition of 0.72 Acres Located at 2155 W. Gwinnett Street (PIN: 2-0598-01-001).

The subject property is a portion of a larger parcel known as 2155 West Gwinnett Street (PIN 2-0598-01-001), currently owned by PJT, Inc. This subject property, 0.72 acres as depicted in the accompanying exhibit, is a subdivision of this larger parent tract. This portion of land is required to construct an access lane to a proposed new public works complex built upon adjoining City-owned properties and will serve to relocate staff from the upcoming Arena Project site.

Staff has been in contact with the owner of the parcel and have negotiated a purchase price of $64,800.00. This price is based on an appraisal obtained by the City, as performed by a State Certified Real Estate Appraiser.

Staff recommends approval to acquire a 0.72-acre portion of the property located at 2155 W. Gwinnett Street (PIN: 2-0598-01-001), and authorization to execute a contract for the negotiated purchase price of $64,800.00.
