This item is for aproval to procure firearms, red-dots, and related accessories from Clyde Armory in the amount of $147,959. The Savannah Police Department requires updated firearms and accessories to facilitate training for new hires, in-service training for current officers, and outfitting officers with current equipment that is up-to-date and mission ready. This equipment will complete an entire outfitting system for officers that will allow them to operate safely in the field while defending the population of Savannah. Per section 2-4154 of the City’s Purchasing Ordinance, the City may purchase goods or services through the use of a state contract. The contract used for this procurement is State of Georgia contract 99999-001-SPD0000209-0004 for Guns, Ammunition, and Accessories. It was competitively bid by the State of Georgia and expires on 1/7/2027. Delivery: As requested. Terms: Net 30 days.
