Recommend approval of Contract Amendment No. 2 for engineering services for the River Street Water and Sewer Improvement Project with Thomas & Hutton Engineering in the amount of $58,500.

The original contract was for design modifications and construction services during the construction phase of the project. The City is constructing all public infrastructure within the proposed right-of-ways concurrently with a private developer, Savannah River Development, LLC.

This amendment is needed for additional coordination, meetings, structural design, and field observation services with Savannah River Development, LLC for the repair of an old brick retaining wall that was damaged during construction activities.

This contract was originally approved by Council on April 28, 2016 in the amount of $184,000. Amendment No.1 was approved by Council on August 3, 2017 in the amount of $75,400.  The total amount of this contract to date, including this amendment, is $317,900.

Approval
