Description Adopt a Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute a FY2021 Emergency Solutions Grant contract with homeless service agency, Family Promise of the Coastal Empire for 2022 Homelessness Prevention services. The Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Savannah approved the City’s FY2021 One Year Action Plan on October 8, 2020 which allocated $93,970 in 2021 ESG funds for Homelessness Prevention.
The City of Savannah released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) for the provision of homeless prevention services to support individuals and families who are at risk of homelessness. One proposal was received in response to the RFP which was reviewed and evaluated. Family Promise of the Coastal Empire was the sole proposer requesting $93,970 to assist individuals and families in needs short-term rent and utility assistance. Family Promise of the Coastal Empire is a long-standing homeless service provider with more than 20 years of experience in managing homeless shelter programs and offering homeless prevention services for Savannah residents.
