The seven (7) vehicles will be assigned to the Airport’s Maintenance, Purchasing, Ground, and Airfield Departments. All units will be added to the Airport’s fleet and will serve as critical assets for the Commission. Due to the high demand and low inventory of vehicles, vendors are not participating in the competitive bidding process. For these reasons, Purchasing shopped through the State contract, pre-negotiated cooperative purchasing agreements, and locally to locate the vehicles. As a result, J.C. Lewis Ford of Pooler was able to provide the vehicles due to the store being a new location. All 7 units are 2023 budgeted items.
