The two (2) vehicles will be assigned to the Airport’s Police Department. The units will be an addition to the Airport’s fleet and will serve as critical assets for the Commission. Due to the high demand and low inventory of vehicles, vendors are not participating in the competitive bidding process. For these reasons, the Purchasing Department shopped through the State contract, pre-negotiated cooperative purchasing agreements, and locally to locate the vehicles. As a result, O.C. Welch Ford was able to provide the 2 units. Both units are 2023 budgeted items.
