Notification of an emergency procurement and installation of two chillers from Edge Air Conditioning and Refrigeration in the amount of $29,980.00.

The chillers were installed to replace inoperable chillers at the Civic Center. Functioning chillers were necessary for events taking place in the arena. Without a functioning chiller, the Civic Center would not be able to produce the ice needed for the Skate Fest and hockey events. During Skatefest, Chiller #1 was inoperable and Chiller #2 was operating at 50% capacity. Edge Air Conditioning and Refrigeration was selected because it was the first available vendor to respond immediately.

The chillers were installed in the Civic Center arena On December 28, 2016, and the condensers were installed January 9,2017.
