Title Motion to Award Construction Contract to McLendon Enterprises, Inc. for Hitch Village Phase 2 (Event No. 4982) | |
Description Recommend approval to award the construction contract to McLendon Enterprises in the amount of $1,097,689.30 for City-owned infrastructure improvements in the area of Hitch Village. This work is part of the second phase of a five-phase Housing Authority improvement program. Two contractors were pre-qualified, and only one bid was received. The contract includes water, sewer, stormwater, and street infrastructure work within the public rights of way. The public infrastructure is being constructed concurrent and in coordination with the Housing Authority’s improvements to the 26.8-acre multi-family project. The duration of the project is anticipated to be 10 months. McLendon Enterprises, Inc. originally submitted a bid in the amount of $1,248,753.85. However, the project was value engineered to arrive at an amount of $1,097,689.30. | |
