Title Motion to Award Annual Contract for Generator Maintenance (Event No. 4329)
Description Recommend approval to award an annual contract for generator maintenance services to Power and Energy Services (primary), Energy Systems Southeast (secondary), and Yancey Power Systems (tertiary) in the estimated amount of $373,261.50. These services will be used for routine planned maintenance and repair services for emergency standby auxiliary power generators and other associated auxiliary equipment used by departments within the Public Works and Water Resources Bureau. The generators for the bureau are located at the Industrial and Domestic plant, the stormwater stations as well as the various water wells and lift stations throughout the City. The emergency standby auxiliary power equipment is required to provide backup power for the operation of the equipment associated with the treatment and supply of potable water, the conveyance of waste water and the pumping of stormwater. Since these are critical facilities, emergency power is essential for continuous operation.
