Description The property at 24 Norton Street (PIN 2-0019 -07-006), located in the West Savannah neighborhood, is owned by Lawrence Waring. On July 13, 1992, the City of Savannah acquired this property via tax deed due to delinquent taxes and assessments in the amount of $354.58, including fees, interest, and charges. The City did not take possession and the property has since been redeemed by the owner. All back-taxes and associated fees, totaling $861.13, have since been paid to the City and all taxes are current. Bonzo Reddick, the owner’s legal representation, is requesting that the City execute a quit claim deed in order to release any claim of interest to this property. This is necessary to clear title and allows Mr. Waring to acquire title insurance on the property. Staff have reviewed the request and recommends approval. | |
